Cindy's Featured Artist of the Week - Toni Larue

TONI LARUE

Toni Larue is a little bit of everything right now. She has two companies: The Playlist (Books4u and Music4U). Her companies provide music and books to prison facilities nationwide. She is also the co-owner of Team Jon Doe. It’s an artist management company. They have two artists they’re working with: Brownboi Maj and JusXJustice. It's Toni's goal to expand toward managing more authors in the future.

She's also expanding her resume as a screenplay writer. She and her husband are collaborating on a dramedy so look out for that in a year.  She has two short stories only being released on e-books on Amazon.com coming soon: Have Mercy and The Morning After. These e-books will be a part of her horror collection. No Kissing became available August 31st and Abandoned Secrets: Lost Souls will be available December 12^th on Amazon.

No Kissing is a novel she wrote 10 years ago.  It went through many name changes, the plot changed a bit but Toni was happy to finally see it completed. No Kissing came to her when she was at work. The first two chapters of the book, she wrote in two hours (she didn’t get much work done). "It just spilled out of me. That’s what took so long for me to complete it, I’d like to think because I wanted it to be organic. I wanted it to flow."

No Kissing is about a psychological thriller, of sorts. It takes you into the minds of three different people with three different motives. Langston, the main character is a sociopath who falls “dangerously” in love with his mistress.

Josephine, Langston’s wife, is aware of her husbands “issues” and she does what she can to clean up his messes. Then there's Leila. She’s young and naïve. She sees Langston as her meal ticket. In her mind, Langston is playing right into the palm of her hand but it doesn’t take her long to realize she might be the one actually getting played.

Abandoned Secrets: Lost Souls: Monroe Connors is back. The story takes place right after the first novel ends. Monroe is paranoid that the people she brought down will come after her. She wants to move on but is forced back into the underground world of the sex slave trade, when Elizabeth, the mother of a missing girl, seeks Monroe out to help her find her daughter. Toni introduced some new characters, Elizabeth and Charlie Steel and also brought back some fan favorites like Lance and Dominic.
